Did you know Matcha can be prepared in minutes, with little equipment and no preparation? Ceremonial Grade Matcha is an antioxidant packed, nourishing drink you can prepare simply from the convenience of your own home. We know mornings can be hectic, so we've tried and tested 5 different ways you can prepare Matcha so you can prepare it with confidence every morning!
1. Bamboo Whisk and Bowl:
Time it takes: Less than 5 minutes
This is the most traditional way to prepare Matcha! The Bamboo Whisk is designed to dissolve the matcha in warm water and creates a lovely froth layer on top. Turn this into a latte by pouring the Matcha into warm milk or plant based milk. Rinse your whisk and let it fully dry before packing it away. Take time to slow down, relax, reflect and whisk yourself a bowl of healthy Matcha.
2. Mason Jar and Shake:
Time it takes: 2 minutes
Find yourself a mason jar, add in your warm water and matcha powder, then tighten the lid. Use your arm strength to give the jar a very good shake until all the matcha powder is dissolved. Don't overfill the jar with liquid! It is easier to dissolve the Matcha powder with less liquid, and you can always add in more water/milk once it has dissolved. You may not achieve a rich layer of froth on the top, but this method is probably the simplest and easy to clean up!
3. Electric Milk Frother:
Time it takes: 3 minutes
If you've got yourself a portable or stationary electric milk frother, you can prepare matcha in a matter of minutes! Add your matcha powder and warm water into a bowl and using your electric milk frother, start to aerate the mix. It's quick, convenient and easy to clean up. The matcha might be a little on the airy side but it will still nourish and fuel your body! You can also add the matcha powder directly into warm milk/plant based milk for a healthy latte.
4. Blender/bullet blender:
Time it takes: 2 minutes + clean up
Use your blender to make yourself a simple matcha or turn it into a smoothie! Add in your matcha powder, liquid and blitz. Turn it into a smoothie and add in frozen fruit, greens and other superfoods!
5. French Press or Manual milk frother:
Time it takes: 3 minutes
Yup, your french press for coffee can double up to prepare matcha. Add in matcha powder, any sugar or sweetener and warm water, and then quickly pull the plunger up and down a few times to dissolve the matcha powder. If you add matcha powder into warm milk instead of water, you can create yourself a delicious latte with a generous layer of froth! Yum.
