Carrots are a great source of beta-carotene, Vitamin K1, Potassium and many other nutrients. Paired with Matcha, this drink is a nutrient powerhouse. Did we mention it tastes delicious too!
For the carrot juice, it is very easy to make if you have a blender and fine mesh sieve. If you don't, you can substitute it for store bought carrot juice. Just make sure there are no added sugars and other ingredients. Then, you can add your spices like nutmeg, cinnamon and ginger.Ā

Ingredients:
⢠250 gram carrot, peeled and chopped
⢠1 cup water to blendĀ
⢠half a teaspoon of nutmeg and cinnamon
⢠1 teaspoon ginger peeled and chopped finelyĀ
⢠1.5 tablespoon of date syrup, honey or maple syrup
⢠150 mL of milk
⢠1.5 teaspoon Matcha
⢠100 mL of warm water to whisk matcha

How to:
1. Blend carrots, water, spices and ginger in a blender until smooth consistency. This takes about 2 minutes.
2. Pour the blended juice through a fine mesh sieve or bag and squeeze out all the juice.
3. This makes enough for 2-3 serves so store the rest airtight, in the fridge for up to 5 days.
4. Whisk Matcha and warm water together in a bowl.
5. To assemble, add 100 mL of carrot juice and ice into a tall glass. Add milk and top it off with your Matcha.
