Matcha Citrus Soda (Without all that sugar!)

Fizzy Drinks can be healthy and nutritious too :) 

Instead of the sugary packed soft drink, make yourself a healthy substitute that is just as delicious. Citrus is loaded with Vitamin C and Matcha provides a high amount of antioxidants for great skin, immune function & repairing the body.

This is a great drink to sip on for a lazy Sunday afternoon! To unwind and relax is necessary for healthy minds and bodies.

 

Ingredients:

  • 1 tsp Ceremonial Grade Matcha
  • 50mL warm water
  • 250mL sparkling water
  • Juice of half a lemon or 1TBSP lemon juice
  • 30-40 grams Honey Citron Concentrate (about 1.5 TBSP)
    This is a syrup/jam like consistency that can be found at most oriental stores. It can be substituted for honey yuzu concentrate or honey lemon concentrate. If you cannot find this, use honey instead and add more lemon juice.
  • Ice

 

How to:

  1. Whisk your Matcha and water together until well dissolved.
  2. In a tall glass, add in the Honey Citron Concentrate and lemon juice. 
  3. Add Ice.
  4. Pour in sparkling water.
  5. Add in your matcha mix and stir.
