Matcha FROYO Recipe

Skip the line and make this Matcha Frozen Yogurt at home. Top it off with all your favourite toppings in the comfort of your own home. It is deliciously sweet, tart, healthy and incredibly easy. All you need is a blender, no churner required.

Ingredients: Serves 2-3

  • 500 gram full fat greek yogurt (Optionally, you can freeze 100 gram of the yogurt using an ice cube tray to reduce total freezing time)
  • 200 gram frozen sliced bananas, roughly 2 large bananas.
  • 2.5 teaspoon of Ceremonial Matcha
  • 80mL plant based milk, we used almond milk.

How to:

  1. Optional: pre-freeze 100 gram of greek yogurt in an ice cube tray to reduce total freezing time later.
  2. In a large blender, add frozen bananas, greek yogurt (optional: frozen greek yogurt), ceremonial matcha and plant based milk.
  3. Blend it on high until it becomes a smooth creamy consistency.
Tip: pulse it a few times, stop the blender and mix with a spoon and then pulse it again to help the blender mix everything together.
  4. Spoon the mix into a container and let it freeze until the froyo becomes firm enough to hold its shape. This takes about an hour.
  5. Serve Matcha Froyo with toppings like cacao nibs, nuts, fruit, granola or some even some chocolate sprinkles!
