Matcha Latte Bubble Tea

Bubble tea brings back memories of childhood and good times with friends and family. Its definitely a treat when we have one as it's often loaded with sugar and cream and can leave you feeling not so great in the stomach. This is a healthier take on matcha pearl latte with plant based milk, less syrup and high grade Ceremonial matcha powder so you can have it more often at home and still feel great after ☺️


Ingredients:
  • 3 grams Ceremonial Grade Matcha
  • 80mL hot water
  • 1/2 cup tapioca pearls + hot water for cooking
  • 1 TBS coconut sugar /sweetener of choice + 1 TBS hot water
  • 200mL oat milk/ milk of choice
  • Lots of ice
  • Honey (optional)

Method:

1. Cook tapioca pearls following packet instructions. Drain and rinse off starch. Mix in some honey if desired.

2. Whisk matcha in a seperate bowl with 80ml hot water.

3. Mix coconut sugar with hot water to make a syrup.

4. Assemble your drink starting with the pearls, ice, syrup, milk and then lastly matcha.
