Matcha Yogurt & Ricotta Parfait

Matcha is a fantastic source of plant polyphenols. Regular consumption of these polyphenols have been linked to a reduction in risk of developing chronic diseases. Matcha has strong antioxidant properties which also has many therapeutic effects on our bodies.

Give this simple and quick recipe a go and let it be a staple in your everyday diet.

 

Ingredients: makes 2 serves

  • 1 cup greek yogurt
  • 1 cup ricotta 
  • 2 tablespoons honey
  • 2 teaspoons Ceremonial Matcha
  • Toppings: granola, fresh fruit, nuts and seeds

 

How to:

  1. In a mixing bowl, add the yogurt, ricotta, honey and matcha. 
  2. Mix everything until a smooth consistency. You can also use an electric mixer for this step for a lighter, fluffier mixture.
  3. Spoon out the mixture into 2 glasses, top it off with fruit, granola, more honey or whatever topping you like. 

 

Note: you can substitute ricotta for cottage cheese, but the cottage cheese will be clumpier compared to ricotta.
